I am a 2009 Early Childhood Education graduate from the University of West Georgia. I am certified in Early Childhood, Middle Grades Math, Instructional Technology, and I am an endorsed teacher leader. I returned to West Georgia in the fall of 2014 to obtain a master's degree in Instructional Technology, and graduated in April of 2016. Upon completion of my master's degree I plan on returning to West Georgia in the future for a doctoral degree in School Improvement, with a focus in Educational Leadership. This will take some time to complete, but I am excited about furthering my education career!

This is my fifth year teaching at Sand Hill, and eighth year teaching overall. I taught second grade for three years, and this will be my second year in fourth grade. I serve as a school council representative and TLE platform coach, and I am a member of the Parental/Community Involvement committeeI began teaching Pre-K in August 2010 at Color Us Kids, and left in December 2012. In January 2013 I began my career with Carroll County as a tutor at Mount Zion Elementary. I have either attended, student taught, subbed, or worked at every elementary school in the system.

I am a native of Carroll County. My education began at Bowdon Elementary, I graduated from Central High, and finished at West Georgia. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and love every minute of my career! Jon-Wesley and I were married in April of 2016 and welcomed our little girl, Julia, in January of 2017. We also enjoy spending time with our Yorkie Lola, visiting the lake and beach, traveling in general, updating our home, and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.
